Tens of thousands of civilians, who fled their houses in Chin, Kachin, Karenni, and Sagaing areas, urgently need foods, shelters, and medical assistance as the rainy season approaches. The Irrawaddy reports that there are more than 20,000 new internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Karenni State due to the recent fighting between local Karenni People’s Defence Force and the junta troops. At the same time, the junta is arresting fundraisers and confiscating donations. In addition, netizens have criticized the banks for not being able to provide effective assistance to IDPs due to restrictions on daily and weekly withdrawals.

In the three months since the coup, there have been more than 300 bombings across Myanmar, according to a survey done by the RFA and a Yangon-based international security firm. Most of the attacks were carried out by homemade bombs and parcel bombs near public offices, police stations, and those affiliated with the junta. According to the survey, there were at least 13 bombings in March, 158 in April, and at least 140 in May. No group or individual has claimed responsible for the bombings but there have been accusations that both the anti-coup protesters and junta’s supporters may have carried out these attacks. The NUG has denied any involvement in the bombings. Two schools in Chin State’s Falam town were bombed this early morning, Chin World reported. NUG’s Ministry of Defence released the PDF code of conduct. It outlines rules for soldiers, code of conduct prisoners at war and civilians. This announcement came shortly after a footage of the shooting at the arrested junta troops in Karenni State has been circulated on social media three days ago.

People's armed uprisings continue on a daily basis in many Bamar villages in Sagaing Region. Khit Thit Media reports that clashes broke out between the junta troops and the People's Defence Forces in Chaung Sin Village, Myaung Township today. Residents from nearby villages have been fleeing as the junta is reinforcing its troops in the areas. Chin World has released some CCTV images of soldiers looting valuables from houses and shops in Mindat. According to locals, the soldiers not only stole goods but also looted pigs and chickens on a daily basis.

The Legal Aid Network, which has always been critical of the NUG and CRPH from a legal point of view, urges the detainees, Aung San Suu Kyi and NLD leaders, to do the CDM. It suggested that they should face the same courage as late student leader Salai Tin Maung Oo, as they are facing unfair trial. Salai Tin Maung Oo, a Chin national, was hanged on 26 June 1976 for treason by the previous junta for leading student protests. He refused to appeal because it was not a fair trial.
