The junta troops destroyed foods and medicine donated for displaced civilians in Moebye, southern Shan State. Netizens including rights groups and religious leaders have strongly condemned this action and called for the protection of IDPs.


Four arrested NLD leaders, including Aung San Suu Kyi, have been additionally charged under Section 55 of the Anti-Corruption Law on 10 June. Some have reportedly paid around 20 million kyats (USD 12,000) to be removed from the list. About 150 artists have been charged under Section 505 (a) since the coup.

Twelve killed and one injured in a military plane crashed in Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay, on 10 June at around 8 am, according to Khit Thit. A prominent monk, two lieutenant commanders, and two captains are among the victims. The junta has not released names of all the victims, with rumours circulating that at least one top general may be involved. However, the junta-controlled media reported last night that the deputy army chief and secretary of the military council are working regularly.

An independent journalist Mratt Kyaw Thu released audio files of the wife of the junta’s Home Affairs minister on social media last night. She warned ministry staffs of possible attacks in Naypyidaw and accused NUG Minister Dr Zaw Wai Soe for inciting and leading violence. Netizens are making fun of the content of the files and saying that the junta’s families are certainly terrified of the PDF and protesters.

Union Solidarity and Development Party’s candidate Nay Myo Aung was shot dead near Botahtaung Pagoda Market on 10 June 10 at around 3 pm, according to DVB. He is alleged to be involved in illegal business and known as the military informant, netizens said. A spokesman for the USDP told the Irrawaddy that about 70 members of their party had been assassinated since the coup.
