Names of two young men in a photo circulating on social media were 17-year-old Fedele and 18-year-old Pasquale from Demoso Township, Karenni State, a local confirmed to RiSE News. They were arrested on 9 September by the 102 Battalion and reportedly tortured to death after their photo had been taken. 

A member of the Yaw PDF told Burma VJ that the junta troops killed more than 20 people on 9 September in Myin Thar village in Gangaw, Magway Region. Local said that the victims included three minors who recently finished grade 10 and all of them were not associated with the PDF but only guarding their village. Several houses in Namkha village in Gangaw Township were also set on fire yesterday morning.

In retaliation for the incident, Gangaw PDF and the Chin National Front (CNF) launched a joint offensive against the junta troops on the morning of 10 September in Gangaw Township, killing about 15 troops, Gangaw PDF announced. On 10 September, the CNF and CDF joint forces attacked a military base in Lungler village, Thantlang Township, and fighter jet bombed six times in the area, a CNF official told Mizzima.

Pekon PDF attacked LIB 336, based in Pekon, Karenni State, with 60 mm mortar on 11 September. According to the Than Lwin Times, the junta troops arrested about 10 businessmen in Hpa-an, Kayin State, on the night of 9 September. Their whereabouts and reasons for their arrests are still unknown.

Several junta-owned Mytel Telecommunication towers across the country are being targeted by local PDFs. According to RFA, 42 towers, including 35 Mytel towers, were destroyed between 4 and 11 September. The coup leader reportedly said at the meeting that the PDFs should attack his troops instead of destroying the towers.

The junta has ordered the deployment of 350 police officers, including traffic police, to Sagaing Region, Chin and Rakhine State, the Tachileik News Agency reported. Of the 350, 200 will be sent to Chin State and the traffic police are asked to change into police uniforms. There are many police officers doing CDM in Chin State and Sagaing Region, and on 11 September alone, six more policemen defected in Chin State, according to the Hakha Post.

The junta-appointed deputy minister of home affairs told international diplomats on 11 September that 933 people, including 140 security personnel and civil servants, were killed and 1,312 injured, in seven months due to the PDFs. Among those killed were 102 local administrators and 369 people accused of being informants.

According to DVB, the Thai government is planning to arrest illegal Myanmar migrants opposing the junta. The United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Myanmar, Christine Burgener, told the PPST, signatories of the NCA agreement, that the Western countries, which are sympathetic to the NUG, would reconsider their policies toward the NUG after the NUG’s declaration of a state of emergency.
