Six Air KBZ staff at Yangon International Airport have been arrested for trying to sabotage domestic flights in August, according to the junta’s news statement. A Line Maintenance Manager, a CDM staff and four other staff members, were accused of stuffing leaves inside the pitot tube of two aircrafts, the statement said. Khit Thit reported that it had received video footage of the junta forces shooting three youths at point-blank range on the street near the Myanigone Bridge in Yangon’s Sanchaung Township, on 25 September at around 1 am. Names of the victims are still unknown.
A joint force of three local PDF under the supervision of the KIA ambushed the junta forces in Pinlebu Township, Sagaing Region, killing at least 25 SAC members, according to local media reports. Following the clashes, the junta cut off internet access in Pinlebu, Budalin, and Wuntho Townships in Sagaing Region on 26 September, bringing the total number of internet outages to 25 townships.
According to DVB, Police sub-lieutenant Cherry Htet who served as Aung San Suu Kyi's bodyguard were arrested and charged under Section 505 (a) of the Penal Code in Naypyidaw on 23 September. The junta has accused her of incitement on social media and having links to the NUG. The junta issued warrant to arrest Dr. Aye Nyein, who provides free healthcare treatment to IDPs and locals in Mindat, Chin State, for allegedly buying weapons for the CDF, according to the Irrawaddy.
The junta reportedly claimed that they would eliminate all CDF forces in Chin State within next two weeks, according to CDF members' online posts. Fighting between the coalition forces and the junta troops has been intensifying in Demoso, Karenni (Kayah) State, since 25 September. The People's Police Force - Zoland was formed on 24 September with members of the CDM police in Tedim and Tonzang Townships, Chin State, becoming the country’s second CDM police force after the formation of the Karenni State Police in Karenni State.
Despite the arrest of NLD leaders, the NLD-appointed vice president Henry Van Thio and Speaker of the lower house T Khun Myat, have not been arrested and are still living in their residences in Naypyidaw, according to the BBC. Some claimed that they are not arrested as Henry Van Thio is a former military officer and T Khun Myat is a member of the USDP. In an interview with the BBC, Kyaw Moe Tun, the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the UN said that he agreed not to address at the UN General Assembly, but he will remain in his current position for another year.
